Machu Picchu Photos

Our first Inca ruin in the distance...amazingly preserved
Our fantastic group, getting ready to start day 1 of our hike
...and we\'re off, cross the bridge and the Inca Trail hike begins
The hike ahead with visuals!
Dessert while camping...purple corn pudding. A bit like a sweet cough syrup flavored jello, interesting but not my favorite
This is our food set-up at camp along the 4-day Inca Trail hike, pretty swanky and cozy if you ask me
Day 2: Our group with our amazing 22 porters and 2 chefs. Without them this wouldn\'t be possible
Llama spa day!
Still happy, half way through day 2
Holy fog, Batman....and that\'s coming from San Franciscans!
Altitude sickness hitting Christian a bit, pushing forward looking a bit like the Hunchback of Notre Dame in his poncho
Suz is proud...she\'s forgetting it\'s only about noon and we still have 3 hours of straight downhill hiking ahead now
Getting a bit cold as we climb higher, and boy are these walking poles necessary
Sample lunch from camping: stuffed chicken, fried eggplant, wild rice and a beet salad...after an amazing soup course
Day 3: The view we woke up to outside of our tent, breathtaking
Dinner time! Pasta with chicken, vegetables...and french fries, of course. This followed a soup course
Stacking rocks at the top of this hill to pay tribute and make our dreams come true
Suz savoring exploring the ruins on our own...that\'s the beauty of doing the hike, you have these things all to your own group...can\'t bus here!
Christian in wonderland
Seriously, this is originally Inca Trail people, isn\'t it amazing?
Our all time favorite lunch: Fish with yellow potatoes, peanut quinoa salad, cheesy vegetables and an Asian cold veggie salad. So ridicuouls that this is how we\'re eating while camping!
Our chef\'s surprised us with a
welcome-to-never-land
A challenge has been issued....anyone who can run up the small mountain nearby with a porter\'s 60+lb pack on will get a beer at lunch at the end or our trip. Beer? Christian\'s in!
Suz tries it on as well...
